We are always looking for Watkins literature, factory photos, and history tidbits.  Your boat brochure, pricelist or photo may be unique or just better preserved than one we have available for download.  Please consider donating a copy to us.  If you have found a source for spare parts that we do not have listed please consider sharing that also.  Also we are collecting names of Dealers and their staff’s and factory employees.  We are looking for people “who were there” to help clarify, correct and expand our History section.

6th Annual Watkins Chesapeake Bay Rendezvous

May 24th - June 1 2008 in Hampton Roads, Va.

· 2008 Watkins Raft-up will be at the Waterside Marina in downtown Norfolk Virginia. It is located on the Elizabeth River mile marker 0 on the ICW. The dates are May 24 -June 1.

· Waterside PH:  757-625-3625.  (when you call for reservations tell them you are with the Watkins group). The slip rate is $1.50 a ft. (includes electrical hook up, water, & phone).

· We haven't chosen the restaurant for the ice breaker on Sunday May 25 (that will be
announced in time for you to make your reservations.

· Hotels are across the street from the marina and restaurants are on the marina property.

· Festivities will start on Memorial day weekend with our traditional "Ice Breaker" the evening of Saturday 24 May and end on the weekend of 1 June with the Hampton Blackbeard Pirate Festival.

· Actual itinerary will be determined each morning by Skippers meeting and subject to weather and majority vote. Some possibilities include but are not limited to a cruise and overnight stay to the Ghost Fleet/Jamestown, or the Dismal Swamp, and a Watkins raft-up at the pirates fest. · T-Shirts and Burgees will be available for those interested on a pre-order basis.

· For those arriving by boat or car, bring that extra gear that you have lying around and we will conduct a swap meet.

· A data base will be set up at the Watkins Yahoo site (http://groups.yahoo.com//group/Watkins/) for those planning or interested in attending to sign up so we can get an idea of how many to prepare for the ice breaker and how many slips we can negotiate for with the Marinas.

· Looking forward to seeing one and all, old friend and new friend alike.
